In the opening match of the 2019 World Junior Championship, the under 20 Russian national team defeated Denmark to get off to a winning start!

Initially, the Danes made life difficult for our players, but after seven minutes of play, forward Vitaly Kravtsov completed a flowing play on the counterattack to give Russia an important 1:0 lead.

Pavel Shen increased the advantage to three in the third frame, and after Denmark pulled their goaltender for the extra skater late on, Ivan Morozov hit the empty net to complete the 4:0 scoreline!
