In the first Four Nations match, the under 18 Russian women's national team fell to Finland 2:3 in a penalty shootout.
After falling 0:2 down, Anna Savonina forced overtime with two goals, but Finland eventually claimed their victory in the ensuing penalty shootout. Darya Gredzen made 28 saves for Russia.
The team will compete in the second match on Saturday, November 15 against the Czech Republic. Puck drop is scheduled for 18:00.
