"Red Machine. Connecting Generations" match

At the Small Legends Park Arena in Moscow, a "Red Machine. Connecting Generations" match took place with the support of Nornikel, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's general partner. Players born in the 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010 participated. IIHF president Rene Fasel refereed the game.

RIHF vice-president and national team leader Roman Rotenberg, national team players Pavel Datsyuk, Sergei Plotnikov, Mikhail Grigorenko, Kirill Kaprizov, Nikita Gusev, Alexander Barabanov and Nikita Nesterov all competed in the exhibition game, alongside legends such as Alexander Yakushev, Alexei Kasatonov, Igor Larinov, Sergei Fyodorov, Pavel Bure and Andrei Nikolishin. RIHF board member Gennady Timchenko and Nornikel president Vladimir Potanin took to the ice as well.

The match ended in a 10:10 draw with more than 2000 fans in the stands.
