The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) have named Novosibirsk the hosts of the 2023 World Junior Championship. Horst Lichtner, the IIHF's general secretary, sent an official letter with the information included to Russian Ice Hockey Federation president Vladislav Tretiak.
