The official Mascot creation contest

The Organizing Committee of 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Ice Hockey Federation of Russia in association with sport marketing agency ”Sport Media Group” would like to announce the  official mascot creation contest of 2016 tournament which take place in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Russia from 29th of April till 15 of May 2016 ! You can submit the application to participate in the contest till 16th of February 2015. The winner of this contest will receive 200 000 rubles as a money prize and two tickets for the tournament!

First time in a history of the Ice Hockey World Championships the spectators will create and choose the mascot of the event. Anyone can become the participant of the contest: to participate you just need to send your contest proposal of the mascot (contest drawing) and the complete application on the official website of FHR till the 16^th of February 2015. Every participated person can present unlimited amount of mascot proposal (contest drawings). All works (contest drawings) should be strictly created by a person , who submit the application – that’s the only one rule for this mascot contest!

The proposed mascot should include in the image: the National features of the country, should be easily acknowledge by people of different ages group, nationalities and professions.  The contest drawing can be done in colors or black-and-white, in any drawing design, including the computer graphics.

All the contest works will be reviewed and moderated, all works, which will go through moderation will be placed on the contest pages on Facebook and VK.com. The winner of the contest will be defined by several stages. During the first stage the spectators will choose the best 20 of contest works, after that the especially selected jury will announce 16 works, which will be eliminated from the contest. The IIHF and FHR will select a winner of a mascot contest from 4 remaining contest works.

The winner of the mascot contest will be declared on May 2015. The Creator of the winning Mascot will receive 200 000 rubles and 2 tickets to the tournament.
