23.04.2018
In Chelyabinsk, the under 18 Russian national team are preparing to play Slovakia at the 2018 U18 World Championship.

The players trained in these following lines:

Galenyuk, Zhuravlyov - Marchenko, Morozov, Podkolzin;
Malyshev, Misyul - Zavgorodniy, Zhabreev, Dorofeev;
Zamula, Zhilyakov - Spiridonov, Mikhaylov, Rotenberg;
Okhotyuk, Romanov - Kizimov, Sorkin, Iskhakov.

Goalkeeper Amir Miftakhov was given a rest by head coach Alexander Zybin and did not participate in the training session.

Russia U18 head coach Alexander Zybin:

- We have analysed the goals which we conceded against Finland. Choosing opponents for the quarter-final stage? Our team always plays to win, and this will be the case against Slovakia tomorrow. The Slovaks beat the Czech Republic, they have a strong team. Semyon Kizimov feels better and trained today, he will be in tomorrow's roster. Vasily Podkolzin isn't in the first line? After losing to Finland, we needed to make changes. Slovakia play well on the man advantage, so we're focusing on not taking too many penalties.

Russia U18 forward Pavel Dorofeev:

- Today, we worked over our issues and we will try to make an improvement in the next match. Are we thinking about the opponents in the quarter-final stage? No, we will play at 100% against any team. We were tired in the friendly game against Sweden, but that was a match to get ourselves ready for the World Championship schedule.
