Interim Russian national team head coach Ilya Vorobyov:
- The performance was better today, we looked at players who haven't played for the senior national team before. We will keep on searching for the ideal line combinations. I am pleased with how the first line performed in the attacking zone. However, at this level, it's difficult to win with just one goal. The players should reach a different level. Our special teams? We scored on the powerplay against Sweden, but today our powerplay didn't work. In the second period, we spent six minutes shorthanded and it was a key moment in the game. Those penalties were needless. Dmitry Kagarlitsky gets lost on the ice? The level between club and international play is different, players need to make decisions faster. We plan that Vasily Koshechkin will play in the next match.
