Reaction after beating Norway at the Euro Hockey Challenge

Interim Russian national team head coach Ilya Vorobyov:

- A lot of our players haven't played at this level before, they're young. However, after getting over their nerves, we managed to win. Igor Shestyorkin performed well. The opponents are strong for our young team, so we will prepare for the next match. We have already called up the players to Novogorsk for the Euro Hockey Tour. Vitaly Kravtsov's debut? He's a really interesting forward, he created a good chance today. It's tough to immediately adapt to international level, but we're satisfied.

Russian national team defenseman Alexander Elesin:

- The opponents are strong and skate fast. When playing against such teams, you have to be careful as to not allow them chances on the counterattack. When I scored, I wanted to keep the puck in the zone, but it bounced to me and I shot on goal. Now, if I have the chance, I will shoot more.

Russian national team forward Alexander Dergachyov:

- Norway stuck to their system, but we improved in the second period and scored two goals. I had good mutual understanding with my linemates. There are always strong players in the national team, however we have to keep working and improving. When I scored, I was a bit surprised by the goalkeeper's decision to jump. I managed to score with my instinct.
