Roman Rotenberg: "We had a team on the ice today"

RIHF first vice-president and team leader Roman Rotenberg spoke after the 2018 Olympic Games triumph:

- We took into consideration the lessons learned at recent World Championships and the World Cup. Our work over those errors gave us this result at the Olympic Games. In order to create a real team, you have to train both physically and psychologically. You need time. Today, we had a team on the ice. We have to give credit to the Germans, they fought hard and were a united team too. It doesn't matter what names are on the back of the jerseys, because ice hockey is a team game. Hopefully, this victory will help the development of ice hockey in Russia which will allow us to repeat this result in China. Now, we need to everything possible to defend our title in four years. The victory in PyeongChang is an important part of Russian ice hockey's development.
