New Year wishes from Arkady Rotenberg

Dear Russian hockey fans!
The Russia Ice Hockey Federation and I wish you all a happy new year!

The new coming year will be special for us all, and a lot of interesting hockey events are coming up. Right away in January our youth team will compete in the deciding phase of the World Championship, and then our U18 women's team will compete in the same tournament in Canada. 

The most special months will be April and May, when the women's and youth World Championships will take place, and then the culmination will come - our home World Championship. In that tournament, all of us - the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, the coaching staff and players will do everyting to make you happy with our game and results. In September, another big championship will be held - the NHL World Cup in Toronto. Our national team should also play well there.

2015 turned into a turning point for Russian hockey - we gave ourselves a task of not only getting positive results, but also making hockey popular again and helping children's schools. I am sure that this five year programme will give us the needed results, it will help to make our hockey a big leap forward which will allow us to dominate on the international arena and make residents of our country stronger and more confident in tomorro .
