Egor Korshkov: We forced our style upon the Americans

The man of the match against the USA Egor Korshkov gave his thoughts after the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship semi-final win:

- When I scored, I faked a shot, turned away from my marker, skated to the near post and managed to score.

- What did you think about the fact that the American coach said that he didn't know any of the Russian players?

- I don't read the press, I didn't hear anything about that.

- It took a long time for you to score today. We're you just unlucky?

- Yes, it wouldn't go in, but we needed to score that dirty goal on a rebound to get us going.

- Russia had a big advantage on shots, although before the match everyone thought that it would be the other way around.

- We prepared for this match and forced our game upon the opponents, we did everything that our coach said.

- In the third period, your movement wasn't as good - were you tired?

- It's difficult to say, probably we just played more carefully in defence.
