Valery Bragin: "This team has character"

06.01.2016

The junior national team head coach Valery Bragin commented on the team's performance at the 2016 IIHF World Championship:

- Overall, the played had a good tournament. We were losing a few matches along the way, and we always came back. This means that we have character. We played well as a team, because of these qualities we have such a result. I have no problems with anyone's committment, some had a better tournament than others. The main thing is that we had a true team. It's hard to say who out of this team will have a big future. It depends on how the guys will continue working. They will have a tough period now, however all of them have talent. They need to keep on developing, working and training. In overtime we had one chance before their goal, we should have shot and not made a pass. It's hockey, we didn't score and they did. They were a bit more lucky today. I don't want to talk about the referees, that's not my business.
