Vladislav Tretyak has spoken with the U16 national team
Ahead of the 2016 Youth Olympic Games, the RIHF president Vladislav Tretyak spoke with the U16 national team in Novogorsk.
Vladislav Tretyak:
- In Novogorsk, our best under 16 players are training. One set will travel to the Youth Olympics, the other will play in the Four Nations tournament in Sweden. These young players will be able to feel the Olympic atmosphere, this will become their first test. They should be a team, and musn't forget that they are representing Russia. If they do that, victories will come.
The U16 national team coach Evgeny Filinov:
- The state of the team is good. We have brought all of the country's best young players together, and we will fight and represent Russia.
Recently, seventeen more players joined the team to prepare for the Four Nations tournament:
Goaltenders: Maxim Artemyev (Neftyanik), Danil Kadochnikov (Krylya Sovetov).
Defencemen: Vadim Efremov (Avangard), Nikita Zorkin (Yugra), Roman Kalinichenko (CSKA), Ivan Kanashev (Krylya Sovetov), Roman Sinitsyn (Lokomotiv).
Forwards: Semyon Astashevsky (Avangard), Nikita Dolgopyatov (CSKA), Kirill Kazakov (Avangard), Andrei Legalin (Spartak), Nikita Malukhin (Ak Bars), Demid Mansurov (Traktor), Daniil Misyul (Lokomotiv), Gleb Murtazin (Dizel), Vladislav Fyodorov (Severstal), Maxim Shabanov (Traktor).
On the 8th of February, the U16 national team will leave for Norway where they will take part in the 2016 Youth Olympic Games between the 12th and 21st of February.
