Andrei Svetlakov: "I am grateful to the coaches for giving me a chance"
- Not long after playing at the World Junior Championship, you are here in the main national team.
- Yes, it's a nice surprise. I am grateful to the coaches for calling me up and trusting me with a place in the national team. I will give one hundred percent to prove that I deserve their trust.
- Have the guys from the junior national team called and congratulated you?
- Yes, we keep in contact. They all congratulated me and wished me luck.
- How did the first training session go?
- Great: we skated and got used to each other. Now serious preparation for the matches will begin.
- Have you spoken with Valery Bragin, the junior national team coach?
- If I'm honest we haven't had a conversation yet, but it's nice that he's here too.
- What goals have you set yourself at this training camp?
- The main thing is that the team got two victories from the matches against the Czech Republic.
