Youth Olympic Games. Finland U16 - Russia U16 - 1:2 SO

In Norway, the under 16 Russian national team played their second match of the 2016 Youth Olympic Games.

Our team had thrashed the tournament hosts 13:1 yesterday, however today's fixture against Finland proved to be much more difficult. Andrei Svechnikov opened the scoring early on in the first, but Finland responded with a marker of their own in the second. It ended going all the way to the penalty shootout, and there Alexander Khovanov struck the winner to take Russia to a third victory in a row 2:1!

The team's next match will take place on Thursday the 18th of February against the USA.
