Evgeny Filinov: "It's difficult against Finland at any level"

17.02.2016

The under 16 Russian head coach Evgeny Filinov had his say after the win over Finland:

- It's tough to play back to back matches, especially with such a strong opponent. Any match is difficult against Finland at any level. We tried, and won on penalty shots.

- Did you remember the previous defeats against Finland at the Youth Olympics?

- We have a different team now, we're playing with a clean slate however didn't forget what had happened four years ago.

- Why are you not playing second periods well?

- We took silly penalties, and this was down to our huge desire to win. Nevertheless, we have shown the players how such mistakes can ruin games.

- Next up are the Americans.

- We have seen two American matches at the tournament.
