Youth Olympic Games semi-final. USA U16 - Russia U16

Today, the under 16 Russian national team will play their 2016 Youth Olympics semi-final match against the USA.

Our team came third in their group after defeating Canada 4:3, Finland 2:1 SO and Norway 13:1, and would have come first had they not lost against the Americans 2:4 yesterday. Nevertheless that loss has given our players a great chance of gaining revenge today, and head coach Evgeny Filinov's men will be raring to go in this game. In the other semi-final, Canada will play against Scandinavians Finland.

The winner of today's fixture will take part in the final on the 21st of February. The loser will play in the third place play-off on the 20th.
