Youth Olympic Games. USA U16 - Russia U16 - 3:0

In the semi-finals of the 2016 Youth Olympic Games, the under 16 Russian national team met the USA.

It was a tight first period in Norway, however after a goalless opening frame the Americans drew first blood in the second - Jacob Pivonka beat Amir Miftakhov in our net. Our players tried their best to get back on level terms in the third and final period, but despite their best efforts it wasn't to be. Jake Wise iced it with an empty netter, and then TJ Walsh finished it.

Tomorrow at 22:00 Moscow time, Russia will play Finland in the third place play-off.
