A coaching seminar in Sochi

Between the 4th and 7th of March, a coaching seminar was held inside the Sirius arena at Sochi's Olympic Park. The main topic was surronding training methods using international systems and modern technology in developing young players.

During the seminar, these following specialists made appearances: honoured USSR coach, USSR Master of Sports, world champion Igor Tuzik, the head of methodical department Anatoly Bukatin, the main specialist of the department Dmitry Polyanchikov and the main figure of event coordinations Konstantin Rachkov.

Coaches from seven regions took part in the event, and in the seminar there were educational lessons and master classes. Participants learned about the updated version of the federal standard sports training program, modern aspects of developing young players, and also analysed in details books on ice hockey rules with the use of modern video material.

Igor Tuzik:

- We should understand, that not all players will go on to have professional careers. The coaches' main task is to install a fighter's character into them, and make sure that they have qualities of excellent people.
