Russia's women will play Canada in game two
For the second match of the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship in Canada, the Russian national team will play against Canada.
The tournament began for Russia yesterday, and unfortunately it didn't go very well. Iya Gavrilova netted a pair, but it wasn't enough as a fantastic third period for Finland fired the Scandinavians to a 5:3 victory.
Despite the competition being held in their own country, Canada also got off to a poor start, They led against arch rivals America in the third period, however they ended up going down 1:3.
Generally, Canada defeat Russia with ease, and won 4:0 in last year's edition.
The Canada - Russia match will begin at 05:30 Moscow time. Match TV will have a live broadcast.
