Euro Hockey Challenge. Russia - Norway. Game two
Today, the senior Russian national team will play its second Euro Hockey Challenge match against Norway in Saint Petersburg.
The first took place on Friday, and our players staged a dramatic comeback to recover from a one goal deficit to eventually win 2:1 in overtime. Ziyat Paigin equalised with nine minutes to go, and fellow defenseman Vitaly Menshikov finished the game in overtime. The team has been training hard since that match, and Oleg Znarok held two sessions yesterday. Ilya Lyubushkin, who was absent because of the birth of his daughter, has now returned to the group.
After this fixture, Russia will travel to Novogorsk to continue training.
The Russia - Norway match will take place at 17.00 local time inside the Yubileyny Arena, Saint Petersburg. Match TV will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
