13.05.2016

Evgeny Kuznetsov, forward:

- We are happy to have the opportunity to help the national team. I really want to play, and I have never competed in a home tournament. Probably, I will be nervous before my first match. I have watched almost all of our fixtures - in our dressing room, they showed broadcasts and video highlights.

Alexander Ovechkin, forward:

- We lost to the Czechs in the first game, but thrashed Denmark yesterday. We hope that the team will continue playing like in the previous match. All of us will try to help the team out, however we haven't had time to speak with any of the guys yet. I have only spoken with the doctor about my physical condition. I don't have any injuries, and I feel good.

Dmitry Orlov, defenseman:

- I am really happy to come here, it's always nice to play for the national team. In my first World Championship, I got injured, but I have high hopes for this tournament. I will try to help out. We have a good team. During the long flight, I had a rest and tried to recover and prepare for the games coming up. We hope that the stadium will be full, and it will be great playing in front of our Russian fans. We will try to make them happy!
