RIHF statement concerning the IIHF's decision from 30.07.2026

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision issued by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to exclude Russian national teams from World Championships.

The RIHF neither accepts, nor understands the IIHF's shortsighted stance, which disregards the recommendations provided by the International Olympic Committee and runs against the spirit of sport to unite people across the world.
