In memory of Vladimir Vikulov

Vladimir Vikulov, one of the most successful players in the history of Soviet ice hockey, was born on 20 July.

Today, he would have turned 80 years of age.

During his glittering international career, Vladimir became a two-time Olympic champion and seven-time world champion.

Furthermore, he also participated in the 1976 Canada Cup and multiple Super Series. Vladimir is indeed a member of the Russian Hockey Hall of Fame.

At club level, Vladimir won the USSR Championship and Cup on several occasions too.

He sadly died at the age of 67 on 9 August 2013.
