During his glittering career on the international stage, Alexander became an Olympic champion on three occasions, won the World Championship 10 times and earned nine European Championship titles.
Furthermore, he also became a nine-time USSR champion.
Alexander is indeed a member of the Russian and IIHF Halls of Fame.
