Alexander Tomilov: "This tournament served as a vital experience for our team"
05.02.2026
Alexander Tomilov, the boss of the under 16 Russian national team, shared his emotions following the completion of the Eurasia Jastar Cup.
Russia U16 head coach Alexander Tomilov:
"Unfortunately, despite our powerplay opportunities and the amount of scoring chances which we created, we couldn't score. We weren't ruthless. Given just how strongly we wanted to win, our emotions probably prevented us from achieving a different result. Nonetheless, I would like to thank our players for their commitment and desire.
"Overall, this competition provided us with vital experience. In the dressing room, I told the players to draw the right conclusions, learn from their mistakes and become stronger. Thank you to everyone for their participation and the organisation of the tournament!"
