The RIHF extends its condolences

Ken Dryden, a legend of Canadian ice hockey, sadly passed away on Friday following a battle with illness.

He was 78 years of age.

During his glittering career as a goalkeeper, Ken notably won the Stanley Cup on six occasions with the Montreal Canadiens during the 1970s, before subsequently being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983. He also earned the Vezina Trophy five times while representing Montreal.

On the international scene, he participated in the legendary 1972 Super Series against the Soviet Union.

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation offers its sincere condolences to Ken's loved ones.
