The RIHF President visited the international training camp in Novogorsk

The first international training camp under the auspices of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) is underway at the Novogorsk.

Goalkeepers and defensemen of junior Russian national teams are participating in it, alongside players no older than 25 from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iran and Serbia.

The event was attended by the RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak, who highly praised the level of the training process and emphasised the importance of international cooperation and the development of ice hockey around the world.

RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak:

"Sport has always united people, so cooperation with other countries is very important for us. Sport should be outside of politics. It is known that even wars stopped when the Olympic Games were held! Our main task in ice hockey, as one of the strongest powers in this particular sport, is to pass on our experience to those countries which are just beginning their journey. At one time, we shared our experience with Finland and Switzerland, a nation which is now playing in the final of the World Championship. This once again confirms that ice hockey is developing."
