Interviews after day one of the Liga Stavok Future Cup

15.05.2025
Interviews were taken following the maiden day of the Liga Stavok Future Cup.
Russia U18 head coach Dmitry Mikhailov:
"It was a difficult match for us, these opponents are older and wiser. Nevertheless, I'm happy that we managed to adapt quickly and eventually emerge victorious. Even though we couldn't capitalise on our own powerplays, we were solid shorthanded during the closing stages and were consequently rewarded with the late marker."
Russia U18 forward Viktor Fyodorov:
"I think that both us and the fans enjoyed this game. We fought until the end! For us, the target at this competition is to receive vital experience and progress as a consequence. The atmosphere within our group is great too."
Russia U20 head coach Nikolai Voevodin:
"We played well up until the point when we opened up a three-goal lead. Unfortunately, we then began to relax and the opponents were presented with a way back into proceedings. Yes, it's positive that we started the tournament with a win, but we cannot allow such matches to become so tense. Everyone needs to draw the correct conclusions from this performance."
Russia U20 forward Vadim Dudorov:
"Of course, taking into account that we let a 3:0 lead slip, this wasn't our best game at all. However, this was our first match playing with these lines. I'm sure that we will progress with every passing match. My thoughts about the competition? It's great! It is an ideal opportunity to become a true team, have fun and gain important experience."
