First RIHF development camp for players and coaches of BRICS countries

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) will stage a training camp in Novogorsk for goalkeepers and defensemen between the 25th and 31st of May.
As part of expanding international cooperation and strengthening interstate relations with BRICS+ countries, representatives from Brazil, Turkey, Iran, the UAE, Pakistan and Malaysia have been invited to participate in the development camp. More than 20 athletes, coaches and ice hockey specialists from these countries are expected to arrive. As part of the camp, coaches from these countries will undergo an internship, become familiar with advanced methods of training young players and take part in coaching seminars and theoretical classes. Players will have the opportunity to train with the best juniors in Russia, improve those skills and key aspects of the sport which are important factors in progression and success in competitions.
With the goal of strengthening relations in many areas including sport, this will be the first RIHF development camp to be staged with international participation. The RIHF does indeed plan to hold such events on a regular basis.
