Vladislav Tretiak held a meeting with the Governor of Amur Region

Vladislav Tretiak, the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, has embarked on a tour of the Far East.
The first city which he visited was Blagoveshchensk, where the International Russian-Chinese Winter Sports Festival began on 22 February. The event is being staged on the Amur River which separates Blagoveshchensk and the Chinese city of Heihe which is located in the Heilongjiang province.
An ice hockey competition with three age categories of children, youth and amateurs over the age of 40 has been organised. Tretiak was one of the VIP guests for the opening ceremony together with Vasily Orlov, the Governor of Amur Region. He addressed the participating athletes, spectators and residents of the region.

Tretiak and Orlov subsequently engaged in a productive meeting concerning the development of ice hockey in Amur Region, as well as the improvement of the training of players, coaches and referees. The RIHF President noted that Blagoveshchensk is an example of rapid progress of key components of the Russian ice hockey system, especially at youth level. Furthermore, Tretiak also met with local young players, shared advice and handed out autographs.
