Future Cup. Russia U18 - Russia U17 - 3:1

The opening match of the Future Cup fell Russia U18's way, as the team defeated our under 17 national side by a score of 3:1.

The competition is being staged at the Chizhovka Arena in Minsk, Belarus.

Mikhail Melikov and Kirill Yemelyanov initially handed our U18 team a confident 2:0 lead, before Nikita Gromakov halved the deficit.

However, a mere three minutes after conceding that particular goal, Daniil Prokhorov reinstated the U18's two-goal advantage in what proved to be the game's final goal.

Tomorrow, on 6 February, the 3-on-3 tournament will begin at 15:00 local time.
