Vladislav Tretiak visited the Arktika venue

28.01.2025
President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak visited the Arktika Arena, a new venue in New Moscow which has been constructed for young players of the Olympic reserve.
Tretiak spoke with the players training at the stadium, provided them with advice concerning their careers and gave out autographs.
President of the RIHF Vladislav Tretiak:
"Many years ago, when I visited Canada, I was envious of the ice hockey facilities which they possessed. However, now we have facilities of the same level! Russia is one of the undisputed world leaders when it comes to ice hockey. As soon as I took charge of the RIHF, I set myself the task of developing infrastructure across the country. Already the number of indoor rinks has increased from 140 to 800.

"Our government invests a lot of time and effort into the construction of ice rinks, and our joint work ensures constant progress in this area. New arenas are appearing in various cities and regions. Furthermore, infrastructure construction projects are interesting to private investors and businessmen.
"When my generation was growing up, we could only dream of such fantastic facilities! The Arktika complex consists of four rinks, spacious and clean dressing rooms, a swimming pool, a gym and designated areas for practicing shots and other important skills. All of the required facilities for growth and development are located here!"
