Joint training sessions between the Russian judo national team and the Student Hockey League

As part of the Vladimir Yurzinov Student Hockey League Cup, which took place at the Sirius Federal Territory, the players and coaching staff of the Student Hockey League team visited the Russian national judo team at the Martial Arts Academy and took part in a training session.
The Russian national judo team is currently holding a training camp ahead of the Russian Cup in Tyumen and the Grand Slam in Tokyo.
The players had a full half-hour warm-up on the tatami, after which, under the guidance of the coaches of the Russian national team - silver medalist of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Vitaly Makarov and Olympic champion of 2012 London Arsen Galstyan - they studied several judo techniques. Afterwards, representatives of the Student Hockey League team visited the Museum of the History of Martial Arts, learning about the main stages of the development of domestic judo and sambo.
Two days later, the players of the Student Hockey League team acted as mentors themselves. The judo athletes, alongside the executive director of the Russian Judo Federation Valentin Khabirov, the head coach of the national judo team Vitaly Makarov, 2012 Olympic champion Mansur Isaev, and the winner of the Tokyo Olympic bronze medal Madina Taymazova, took to the ice to take part in a master class.
Alexei Kaigorodov, a winner of the World U18 Championship, the World Junior Championship and the Spengler Cup, was present to offer his assistance and share his experience.
