RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak visited Bryansk on Hockey Day

01.12.2024
President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak visited Bryansk as a part of a representative parliamentary delegation, which also included the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sport Oleg Matytsin and deputies Sergei Neverov and Nikolai Valuev.

One of the central points of the visit was the grand opening ceremony of the Peresvet Ice Palace. A gala match was staged, alongside an autograph session with Tretiak's participation. Furthermore, Tretiak also held a meeting with the Governor of the Bryansk Region Alexander Bogomaz, during which they discussed issues concerning the development of ice hockey in the region.

RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak:

"Bryansk Region really does love ice hockey! Of course, the support of the governor plays an important role in the progressive movement forward. Alexander Bogomaz sincerely cares about involving citizens in a healthy lifestyle and creating the necessary conditions for the development of our favourite sport. Peresvet is already the 13th hockey stadium in the region, so the progress of ice hockey infrastructure is obvious. I am glad that our cooperation in this matter is so effective. The more opportunities our citizen have to play ice hockey, the stronger the physical and mental health of the nation and future generations will be. I would like to note that thanks to the work of the governor, the quality of the entire sporting infrastructure across Bryansk Region is improving - new sporting and recreation centres, swimming pools, stadiums and indoor arenas are appearing."

The interest of Bryansk residents in ice hockey is high, with schools actively working in various settlements of the region. Of course, the interaction of the RIHF with the region in the field of ice hockey development is not just limited to the popularisation of the sport. We also strive to improve the quality of training of athletes - so that those boys who dreams of becoming professionals and champions from childhood receive the maximum useful knowledge and skills.
