In their concluding match of the Future Cup in Saint Petersburg, the under 18 Russian national team produced a courageous performance to defeat Kazakhstan U20 3:2!

Our players found themselves trailing by two goals to their elder opponents with 16 minutes on the clock.

However, they came storming back to earn a morale-boosting victory, with Mikhail Melikov netting twice to equalise before Daniil Prokhorov grabbed the winner on the powerplay with a little less than four minutes remaining in regulation.

As a consequence of this positive result, Russia U18 have finished in third spot of the final standings ahead of the Kazakhs.
