The opening of the Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy ice hockey season took place in Novy Urengoy.

Youth teams and adult amateur players compete in the championships held with the support of the Burenergo company.

One of the most experienced ice hockey coaches and functionaries of the country, honoured coach of Russia and national team consultant Igor Tuzik attended the opening ceremony. He met with the participants of the competition, shared his experience with the players and coaches of the teams, and discussed issues of ice hockey development with the management of the Burenergo company. Together with Tuzik, famous former goalkeeper of the USSR national team, Olympic champion and six-time world champion Vladimir Myshkin took part in the events.

Burenergo is the official partner of the OLIMPBET Russian Ice Hockey Championship - the All-Russian Hockey League. The company has been promoting the progress of ice hockey in various regions of the country for many years, supporting both professional clubs of various leagues and youth competitions, as well as tournaments among amateurs.
