The RIHF held a training camp for match inspectors

Between the 28th and 30th of August, the Refereeing Department of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) organised a training camp for the inspectors of youth competitions at the Riga-Land Business Centre in Moscow Region.
The camp was attended by 60 inspectors from all RIHF Branches. The head of the Refereeing Training and Methodology Centre, Alexander Polyakov, familiarised the participants with the changes in the rules which will come into force from the new season. The leading specialist of the SUMTS, Mila Yasenetskaya, paid great attention to the importance of building competent interaction between inspectors and referees, and noted the features of the mentoring process for young referees. During practical classes conducted by the head of the RIHF Inspection Department, Alexander Antropov, the participants of the camp practiced ways to build effective communications during games.
The Head of the RIHF Refereeing Department, Mikhail Karpushin, noted the importance and usefulness of holding this event for the development and improvement of refereeing across all RIHF Branches and the need to maintain refereeing standards when holding youth matches.
