Following the emphatic 8:0 triumph over the under 18 Belarusian national team in the first of three planned friendly matches, Russia U17 head coach Pavel Kanarsky shared his emotions.

- We played well today, right from the outset. Unlike us, the Belarusians couldn't take advantage of their scoring opportunities. Our movement was also a bit better than theirs. It's great for us to play here in Minsk, these matches will help both Belarus and our team. Ahead of tomorrow's game, the main thing is to rest well, recover and be prepared for the opponents to give us a tougher test. Any international match for us is vital!
