Nikolai Puchkov Tournament. Russia U23 - Kunlun - 1:7

The under 23 Russian national team had a tough time of it against KHL outfit Kunlun Red Star in the second match of the Nikolai Puchkov Tournament, conceding a heavy 1:7 defeat at the Ice Palace.

The Chinese opponents initially raced out into a six-goal lead before Daniil Lazutin got Russia on the board, but Kunlun did still have the final say with a seventh marker five minutes from time.

Russia will now prepare to compete against Ak Bars Kazan in Saint Petersburg on Monday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30.
