First training camp of the season for the junior sledge hockey national team

Between 26 July and 4 August, the first training event of the 2024/2025 campaign for the Russian junior sledge hockey national team took place at the Sirius Educational Centre in Sochi.
The camp was organised by the Adaptive Hockey Federation (AHF) with the support of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF).
These following 24 players participated in the event:
Goalkeepers: Timur Stepanov (Yaroslavl), Alexander Prodolyak (Saint Petersburg), Daniil Karpov (Nizhny Novgorod), Artyom Bortsov (Yekaterinburg).
Skaters: Vladislav Moskalyov, Arkady Aksyonov, Alexander Akimov Yaroslavl Zhovtenko (all Saint Petersburg), Muiin Khodzhiev, Sultanbek Koshmambetov, Karim Khasanov, Sergei Lazarev (all Kazan), Mikhail Pushin, Dmitry Chugaev, Roman Rusalyov (all Izhevsk), Konstantin Gorskiy, Kirill Kalinin (both Yaroslavl), Azamdzhon Sokhibov, Pyotr Kovalchik (both Yekaterinburg), Andrei Khudov (Moscow), Kirill Iutin (Nizhny Novgorod), Artur Vardanyan (Novosibirsk), Andrei Zhdanov (Balakovo), Kirill Afonasov (Tula).
As a part of the training camp, the players trained on the ice on a daily basis, worked in the gym and engaged in theory lessons. All players participated in testing on the ice which was organised by the RIHF. Furthermore, they also engaged in activities such as acting classes from the Nizhny Novgorod Youth Theatre, the “What, Where, Hockey” game and a paid a visit to the Sirius University.
