Russia U16 won the Sirius Cup!

As a consequence of defeating a team representing Moscow 3:1 in the concluding match of the competition, Russia U16 won the Sirius Cup!
The tournament was staged at the Sirius Educational Centre in Sochi.
Taking into account that both teams were protecting an unbeaten record, this game did indeed decide the champion of the competition, with our players securing their triumph thanks to three excellent goals - one being an empty-netter - before the opponents eventually got on the board with slightly less than three minutes remaining.
This is the first time in three years when Russia have finished in first place of this particular competition!
