Reaction after beating Kazakhstan away

Interviews were taken following the maiden match of the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour against Kazakhstan in Astana.

Russia 25 head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- The first step is always the toughest. As a result of having not played for a long time, we needed time to grow into the match. Kazakhstan are a tough opponent, they're preparing for the World Championship and they operate with a defensive system similar to the one used by Yekaterinburg and Yaroslavl in the KHL. Their goalkeeper was also excellent. Artemiy Pleshkov? The fact that he earned a shutout in his debut for the national team speaks volumes about his ability and character! Moving forward, I'm sure that our performance level will improve with every passing game.

Russia 25 goalkeeper Artemiy Pleshkov:

- Did I feel a bit nervous? Only a little bit, but I think that's normal for all goalkeepers before any match. I'm happy that we managed to emerge victorious, the guys in front of me did a great job. It was an interesting experience to play at this level against these opponents.
