Training camp in Norilsk organised by the RIHF

A training camp organised by the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) together with Nornickel has ended in Norilsk.
Several players between the ages of 9 and 14 from city youth sports schools improved their ice hockey skills under the guidance of RIHF specialists over the course of three days. The classes were conducted in accordance with the Red Machine National Development Program.
Exercises aimed at improving the players' skating, dribbling, balance and ability to change pace were staged. Special classes were devoted to individual and group tactics on the ice. Furthermore, in order to improve the players' physical strength, relay races and competitions involving different sports were organised.
The special guest of the gathering was former Russian national team forward and World Chamionship participant Evgeny Artyukhin. He conducted classes for the players together with RIHF specialists, before also heading a conversation about the features and secrets of building a professional ice hockey career.
In addition, as part of the camp, a meeting was held with coaches of local ice hockey schools. RIHF specialists discussed with their colleagues the prospects for further cooperation, and also gave valuable recommendations on organising the educational and training process for teams of different ages.
