The RIHF staged a practical conference in Omsk

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) staged a practical ice hockey conference with regard to the "Current Problems and Systematic Development Prospects in the System of Coaching Young Players in Ice Hockey" topic.
The conference took place at Avangard Hockey Club's training centre in Omsk. However, there was also the option to participate in the conference via an online format, with those from Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kazan, Ufa, Moscow, Sochi and Saint Petersburg all taking advantage of this possibility.
More than 40 reports covering topics such as pedagogy, psychology and sporting medicine were presented by speakers. Matters with regard to the education of coaches and referees were also touched upon.
Specialists representing the RIHF presented reports about varying aspects of training including the physical development of young players, new technologies and the control of players' sporting progression. Alongside theory sessions, RIHF specialists also organised practical training exercises on the ice using methods developed by the Red Machine National Development Program.
Furthermore, an important part of the event was the increased interest to the introduction of the Red Machine National Development Program across sporting schools.
