The Student Hockey League won the 2024 Generation Cup

The 2024 Generation Cup took place in Saransk, with the Student Hockey League defeating the National Junior Hockey League by a slender score of 4:3.
After 55 minutes, the students boasted a two-goal advantage, but their younger opponents did then manage to cut the deficit in half.
In the closing stages, the National Junior Hockey League swapped the goalkeeper for the extra skater in hope of finding the elusive equaliser, but the students held on.
As a consequence of this result, the overall series score is at 2-2 with both sides having now won two Generation Cups!
