06.11.2023
Following the completion of the Liga Stavok Cup of the Future in Saint Petersburg, the executive director of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Kurbatov and the deputy general director of Liga Stavok Alexander Yegorov shared their impressions.
Executive director of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Kurbatov:
- As you saw, passions ran high on the ice. Overall, we achieved our targets for this tournament, everything went as planned. Many thanks to Liga Stavok and our other sponsors who support us.
The national team is a separate institution. We have been working hard for many years, and our standards for preparing the national teams - the standards of nutrition, equipment, training, match preparation - are very high. Our young guys require international matches, international competitions. I believe that we are successfully fulfilling our mission. Thank you to the fans who show interest. We will continue this practice. For the second season we have organised tournaments for all ages. We are coming up with new formats - you can all remember the national team’s spring tour. We want to involve more cities, we have new arenas built in Novosibirsk and Omsk. This year the Black Sea Cup will be the Ob Sea Cup - we will play in Novosibirsk.

Deputy general director of Liga Stavok Alexander Yegorov:
- I would like to express my gratitude to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation. Now, more than ever, it is important to develop ice hockey not only at senior level, but also at the youth level. And for Liga Stavok this is an important mission. Thank you all again for this opportunity. The tournament aroused good interest among our audience and our clients. If we compare the number of bets with the matches of the National Hockey League, then the interest here is even higher.
