Reaction after Russia U18 defeated Kazakhstan U20
04.11.2023
Interviews were taken following Russia U18's large victory over Kazakhstan U20 at the Liga Stavok Cup of the Future in Saint Petersburg.
Russia U18 head coach Alexander Titov:
- We managed to score good goals. At this tournament, we're trying to ensure that the guys make combination plays instead of competing individually. Yes, the opponents weren't the strongest, but our priority was to make sure that the players understand the prestige which comes with wearing the Russian national team jersey. This competition is a huge experience for them.
Russia U18 forward Ivan Ryabkin:
- Our next game certainly won't be easy at all. We'll need to compete with cool heads and fight hard. The 3-on-3 competition? It will be a first for me. It'll be interesting, I like it when there's a lot of space on the ice.
