The under 16 Russian national team have taken another big win

In the second match of the Wolfgang Rud Cup 2016, the under 16 Russian national team maintained their perfect record with a large 6:1 thrashing of Slovakia!

Russia under 16 head coach Vladimir Filatov:

- Despite the scoreline, it was a totally different game. We won the first period 5:0, but in the second and third, there were some refereeing calls that didn't go our way. Nevertheless, I am thankful to our guys for holding on.

We knew that the opponents would try to make us lose our temper, but our players are capable of rising above that. Also, sometimes the referees make dodgy calls. The next match will be against the Czech national team, and they are a dangerous opponent on any level. It will be the game for first place.

The Russia - Czech Republic match will take place on the 21st of August.
