Vladislav Tretiak spoke at the opening ceremony of the Sibir Arena

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak participated in the opening ceremony of the new Sibir Arena in Novosibirsk, sharing his views.

RIHF president Vladislav Tretiak:

- The construction of new ice hockey facilities is a priority for the RIHF. In 2023, one of the biggest achievements in this field is the opening of the Sibir Arena which meets all requirements for a state-of-the-art sporting venue.

I would like to thank our governing bodies for allowing us to construct such fantastic arena. Furthermore, I would like to note that the decision to build the Sibir Arena was developed with the direct participation of the RIHF. In Novosibirsk, I held a meeting with the governor of Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov with regard to the matter of ice hockey development.

Novosbirsk certainly deserves this new stadium. The city has a strong team and plenty of loyal, passionate supporters. I would like to wish Sibir new victories and to develop more talented players!
